Castle Siege

Castle Siege is the pinnacle of clan warfare. Conquer a castle to gain powerful residence skills for your entire clan. Sieges last 2 hours on a 4-week rotation schedule - check the Castle Database for each castle’s siege time.

Clans must be Level 3 or higher to participate.

How It Works

  1. Registration - Open all week, closes 24 hours before siege
  2. Siege Start - Everyone except defenders is teleported to the nearest peace zone
  3. Destroy Crystals - Respawn Time Crystals increase defender respawn delay when destroyed
  4. Claim Artifact - Use Seal of RulerSeal of Ruler on the Holy Artifact to claim the castle

Registration

Registration opens after each siege ends and closes 24 hours before the next siege. Each castle town has a Castle Siege Manager NPC where clans can register as attackers or request to defend.

Attackers

Any clan that does not own a castle can register as an attacker. There is no limit on the number of attacking clans. Once registered, your clan is committed - attackers cannot unregister.

Defenders

Clans can request to defend through the Castle Siege Manager. Unlike attackers, defender registration requires approval from the castle-owning clan. The castle lord must manually accept each defender request through the clan interface.

Defenders who are not approved before registration closes will not participate in the siege.

Fortress Allegiance: Fortresses with allegiance to the castle are automatically registered as defenders - no approval required.

Fortress Owners

Fortress-owning clans can register as attackers or defenders of castle sieges. Manual defender registration still requires castle owner approval.

If a fortress owner captures a castle, their fortress reverts to NPC ownership - a clan can only hold one residence type at a time.

Defense and Capture Rules

Approved defenders fight alongside the castle owner but cannot capture the Holy Artifact themselves during the initial defense. The castle stays with its current owner as long as defense holds.

If the castle owner loses control (an attacker captures the artifact), the siege continues and former defenders are now free to capture. At this point, everyone except the new owner is an attacker - including clans that started as defenders.

Mass Teleporter

Defenders using “To Castle” teleport, Scroll of Escape: Castle, or other castle-bound teleports arrive at the Mass Teleporter instead of the castle hall. Destroying Respawn Time Crystals increases the teleport delay:

Trap Zones

Trap zones around the castle slow and damage attackers. Each castle has Trap Zone Crystals that power these defenses - destroying them disables the traps.

Trap zones are only active during Castle Siege, not Territory War.
