Hunt Pass (Battlepass)
A battlepass by another name. Kill monsters, fill a progress bar, unlock rewards across 280 steps. Premium track cost 3,600 L-Coins. Every month, everything reset. Start over. Buy again. Grind again.
The Monthly Treadmill
The Hunt Pass demanded killing on a schedule:
- 2,400 kills per step
- 280 steps per month
- 672,000 total kills to complete
That’s over 22,000 kills per day. The pass wasn’t designed to be finished. It was designed to feel incomplete, to pressure you into paying for boosts.
Free vs Premium
| Track | Rewards |
|---|---|
| Free | Sayha Points (buff time) |
| Premium | Exp Scrolls, Enchants, Equipment, +3 Cloak |
The free track existed to show you what you weren’t getting. Buff time is nice. Actual gear and scrolls are better. Pay up.
The Reset Trap
Every month:
- Progress wiped to zero
- Unclaimed rewards lost forever
- Premium track purchase resets
- The grind begins again
Take a vacation? Lose a month of progress. Get busy with life? Fall behind permanently. The battlepass model treats your time as a subscription.
Layered Paywalls
Timed Hunting Zones gave 2x Hunt Pass points. So the “optimal” player:
- Bought the premium track
- Paid for Timed Zone entry
- Grinded during specific hours
- Still probably didn’t complete
Multiple systems designed to stack spending.
Why Battlepasses Don’t Belong in L2
Classic Lineage 2 didn’t care when you logged in. Your character waited for you. Your progress remained. The world persisted.
Battlepasses inject artificial urgency. They turn games into jobs with monthly performance reviews. They punish players who have lives outside the game.
On L2Cruma, your time is yours. No monthly resets. No FOMO. Play when you want, keep what you earn.
