About

L2Cruma is a free-to-play Remastered Classic Lineage 2 private server with x5000 rates, focused on PvP gameplay. Players reach level 80 in under 2 minutes and receive free S-grade equipment from the GM Shop. The server runs 24/7 Olympiad, hourly PvP zone rotations, castle sieges, fortress battles, and territory wars.

The server is operated by a team that has been running Lineage 2 private servers since the Hellbound chronicle (2008). It is based on the L2J Mobius codebase with extensive custom modifications.

Custom Systems

Crystallized Items. When an enchant fails, the item crystallizes - keeping its full stats and enchant level permanently. It becomes unenchantable and untradeable but remains wearable. Players receive crystal items as a byproduct, which feed the Brooch Gem upgrade system. This is the server’s primary innovation: the downside of enchanting is bounded, so players enchant aggressively rather than conservatively.

Mouse Adena & Pig Adena. Two custom PvP currencies that drop from monsters in farming zones. When a player kills another player in PvP, the killed player’s currencies transfer to the killer. Both currencies convert to regular Adena at 1:1 when the player enters a peace zone, creating a risk-reward decision between farming more or converting safely.

Cursed Adena. An untradeable currency earned from PvP death. It can be used to increase the killer’s PvP steal cap, buy lottery tickets, or naturally decays through monster farming. This gives players who lose PvP fights a comeback mechanism.

PvP Zone Rotation. Every 60 minutes, one of six farming zones becomes the active PvP zone. All players inside are automatically PvP flagged, monster adena drops are tripled, and players inside receive per-second Mouse Adena. This creates a predictable high-value farming window every hour.

Zone Energy. A dynamic rebalancing system that reduces adena drop rates in heavily-farmed zones and increases them in underfarmed zones. Total adena output across all zones is capped. Energy Raid Bosses spawn when a zone’s energy hits the floor, providing additional gameplay events.

Control Zones. Six clan-capturable territories, one per farming zone. The owning clan earns 10% of all adena dropped by monsters inside the zone (5% to clan warehouse, 5% split among online members). Capture requires 600 points scaled logarithmically by clan member count.

Monetization

Donations on L2Cruma save time but do not provide exclusive power. The donation shop sells:

  • Blessed enchant scrolls (+10% success rate over normal scrolls, same max enchant)
  • Starter packs (pre-enchanted +16 gear sets for subclass testing, one-time per account)
  • Donation Coins (dual currency: tradeable coins from pack purchases, non-tradeable coins from bonuses and subscriptions)

The donation model follows these principles:

  • Same max enchant whether a player farms or donates
  • Blessed scrolls are the only paid advantage in combat
  • No VIP tiers, no gacha mechanics, no exclusive power for donators

Competitive Systems

Olympiad. 24/7 competitive 1v1 PvP with per-class tracking, subclass support, and stacking hero duration. Matches have enchant caps (+6 weapons and armor) to ensure fair competition. Winners earn Olympiad Tokens exchangeable for the Olympiad Warrior’s Pendant. Hero status grants hero skills on all classes (main and subclasses), with duration stacking per win.

Castle Siege. Nine castles on a 4-week rotation schedule, 2-hour sieges. Clans must be Level 3+ to participate. Castle owners receive Residence Skills (passive stat buffs) that apply to all clan members server-wide. Capital castles (Aden, Rune) grant 5 skills each.

Fortress Siege. 21 fortresses, weekday-only 30-minute sieges. Fortresses pledge allegiance to castles, sharing residence skills between the fortress clan and castle clan.

Territory War. Weekly ward capture event across all 9 territories. Each captured ward grants a clan-wide passive PvP bonus. Holding all 9 wards provides +12.5% PvP offense and +10% PvP defense - equivalent to +5 weapon and +4 armor enchant levels.

Removed Systems

The following retail Lineage 2 systems have been removed from L2Cruma:

  • Monetization: L-Coin shop, VIP tiers, Hunt Pass, World Exchange, Beauty Shop paywalls
  • Stat Bloat & Power Creep: Elemental Spirits, Collection system, Magic Lamp, Equipment Upgrade, Talisman bloat
  • Gambling: Alchemy, Random Craft, Augmentation, Henna, Ensoul RNG, Enchant Challenge Points
  • Time-Gated Grind: Daily missions, Subjugation hot times, Timed Hunting Zones, Attendance calendars
  • Meaningless Content: Retail quests (kill-and-collect template), instance dungeons, Essence-exclusive races, Mentor system, Sayune teleports, almost all retail NPC spawns

Is L2Cruma Free to Play?

Yes. All core gameplay is free. Players receive full S-grade equipment upon character creation. The NPC Buffer applies fullbuffs that don’t disappear on death. There is no subscription requirement and no content locked behind payments.

What Rates Does L2Cruma Use?

The current server runs at x5000 rates. Players reach max level (80) in under 2 minutes. A mid-rate server (x25) and a low-rate server (x1) are planned for development after the PvP server stabilizes.

How Does Enchanting Work on L2Cruma?

Enchanting uses a smooth -2% success rate gradient per level above +3, with no artificial rate walls. The safe zone is +3 (100% success). Blessed scrolls add +10% to the base rate. Success rates hit a floor of 20% (normal) or 30% (blessed) at target +40. On failure, items crystallize - they keep their enchant level and stats but become unenchantable and untradeable. See the enchanting guide for full details.
